It was a very complicated tournament for me. Before the dinner break my hands were so miserable that I couldn’t exceed the average stack and when the break came I was one of the tournament short stacks. I knew I needed a double up and decided that it was time to gamble, picking up the right time to make a move (which due to my tight image I was hoping to squeeze some limpers and steal some blinds with success). With my “All In Mode” on, I was having success hanging on waiting for the so desirable double up. Unfortunately I wasn’t paid when I had 3 times AK and by that time I was loosing my tight image so I had to calm down. After a while with no hands and no spots to make a move I was afraid that my stack was getting so short that it wouldn’t represent any danger for the blinds. I told to myself that dying for the blinds was out of question so I moved all in with a hand that was reasonable regarding my position. I was called by JJ and my A8 was not strong enough to beat it. How ironic to finish my participation in the tournament holding the “Dead Man’s Hand”.
